The Jamaica Basketball Association (JABA) will bring an international Basketball to our shores Friday November 25 to Monday, November 28, 2016 at the National Indoor Sports Centre, Independence Park, Kingston 5, St. Andrew.
Branded the Jamrockerz Classics the tournament will see one of the biggest Caribbean basketball nations, Guyana National Team and the American Basketball Association’s (ABA) semi pro outfit – the Libertyville Vipers battle Jamaica’s very own Senior and Under 21 squads.

Kentucky Wildcats Land 5-Star Jamaican Center

Prized center prospect Nick Richards announced Thursday he’s planning to continue his basketball career at Kentucky.

Scout.com announced the rising star’s decision to chose Kentucky Wildcats over Syracuse and Arizona.

Richards is a 5-star prospect who rates as the No. 17 overall recruit in the 2017 class, according to the Scout player rankings. He’s also listed as the 7th best center among the incoming group and the top player at the position from the state of New Jersey.

Young Basketball Players Lived Up To The Hype

Once again, the young basketball players from the Digicel/NBA Jumpstart Clinics lived up to the hype and showed the coaches just how passionate they are about basketball and learning more about the game.
The coaches visited Antigua and Barbuda and Jamaica where they selected their boys and girls to move on to the academy in early October. According to the coaches, the youngsters showed the right attitude and attention to detail — qualities that are key to being successful in the game.
The next set of clinics will be in Dominica at Goodwill hardcourt in St George, and in Trinidad and Tobago at the UWI Spec in St Augustine.

in Guyana.

Championship to be held in Georgetown, Guyana, from Saturday July 2, 2016 to Saturday
