The Jamaica Basketball Association (JABA) will bring an international Basketball to our shores Friday November 25 to Monday, November 28, 2016 at the National Indoor Sports Centre, Independence Park, Kingston 5, St. Andrew.

Branded the Jamrockerz Classics the tournament will see one of the biggest Caribbean basketball nations, Guyana National Team and the American Basketball Association’s (ABA) semi pro outfit – the Libertyville Vipers battle Jamaica’s very own Senior and Under 21 squads.

The Classics is expected to be staged annually and will feature six (8) exciting games. The two (2) top teams will then compete for bragging rights and the Championship Trophy.  The 2016 Jamrockerz Classics will showcase the young and upcoming local players during four (4) days of high quality basketball.

Our National representatives will include the likes of veteran small forward Cordell Grant of Exed Heats, Kemar McLeish of Real Lions, Andrew Whitby, Dave Black and Le’Var Rose of Granville Jaguars from Montego Bay and overseas based power forward Damion Staples.

The National Team is currently in training and now ready to defend their home turf in this Championship which will launch the plans for the upcoming year for Jamaica Basketball Association and the Tokyo 2020 campaign.
