Jamaica Basketball Association (JABA) is the governing body for the sport of basketball in Jamaica and is responsible for Jamaican national teams, the NBL and various youth development programmes.
An Olympic and Paralympic sport, basketball shares one of the highest international profiles with 213 nations currently playing the world’s second largest game. Jamaica is currently ranked 55th as a nation by the global body FIBA.

Contributing to Jamaica’s high performance success is its strong grassroots base that features five (5) affiliated associations nationwide along with other basketball organizations within the diaspora.
The national leagues of the NBL (established 2004) have been the start to many players basketball careers as well, rich in history, each league forms a vital part of the Jamaican basketball pathway for participants
